Quandela designs quantum computers. Our goal is to provide a European-based answer to the challenges facing industry and academia worldwide. Benefiting from years of fundamental science, we are a young team of award-winning physicists and accomplished engineers. The company was founded in 2017 by three experts, each of them having earned the reputation as a leader in their field.
In just a few years, the team at Quandela has already completed the design and construction of Prometheus, a high-quality generator of optical qubits based on single photons.
This device is at the heart of modern quantum technologies and will help deliver quantum-secure communication networks and scalable quantum processors. Prometheus has already been delivered to first-class industrial and academic players all around the globe.
This pioneering work is the outcome of more than 20 years of ground-breaking research in many fields, from nanotechnology to photonic engineering. Our technology holds many advantages over other quantum systems, and we will continue innovating to keep our competitive edge.
This year Quandela has the ambition to provide a fully open-source environment in which companies and researchers alike will learn to program our quantum computers. We believe this to be an important step in making our technology available to a broad audience.
